ABSTRACT
National technical regulation on Classification and Grading of Civil and
Industrial Buildings and Urban Infrastructure (pp. 3-7)
A/Prof. Dr. Cao Duy Tien, A/Prof. Dr. Tran Chung
According to Decree No. 127/2007/NĐ-CP by the
Government on implementing articles of the Standard and Regulation act, dated
30 September 2009, the Minister of Construction signed Circular No.
33/2009/TT-BXD on promulgating the national regulation of classifying
type, class of civil, industrial building and technical infrastructure of
urban, named QCVN 03:2009/BXD that comes into effect on 30/3/2010. The authors
want to clarify bases and notes in detail aimed at convenient application of
the regulation.
Establish the procedure for
calculation of resistance of elements under tortion and moment (pp.8-11)
Dr. Le Minh Long
This article is concerned to establish the
procedure for calculation of resistance of structural elements wording under
tortion and moment according to vietnamese design standard for concrete and
reinforced concrete elements “TCXDVN 356:2005”. The established procedure in
shown the calculation steps for the varios modes of failure in tortion. This
procedure is capable to use in design elements wording under tortion and
moment.
Wind loading on porous sunshade roof cover sheets on a
building roof with and without parapet (pp. 12-19)
MEng. Vu Thanh Trung, Prof. Yukio Tamura, A/Prof.
Akihito Yoshida
The porous sunshade roof cover sheet is a new
structure used for heat isolation on building roofs. This paper describes a
parametric wind tunnel study that investigated the effects of parapet on wind
loading on porous sunshade roof cover sheets for a low-rise building based on
1:50 scale wind tunnel measurements. Perimeter parapets of four heights (hp
= 15, 30, 45 and 60 mm) were used to investigate their effects on wind
loading of the porous sunshade roof cover sheets through results of wind
pressure coefficients, wind force coefficients, and cross-correlation
coefficients between upper and lower surface pressures. Some important
conclusions were obtained from this study.
Solution of composite steel and concrete structures
for multi-storey buildings in Vietnam (pp.20-26)
Dr. Đinh Van Thuat, A/Prof. Dr. Pham Van Hoi
Composite steel and concrete structures have been in
effective use in many countries for construction of multi-storey building
structures and those with long span frames, due to the benefits of combining
individual features of mechanical and thermal characteristics of both steel and
concrete materials. This paper is to present solutions of constructional
detailing, advantanges and basic rules for analysis and calculation of
composite structural members. Also the paper will provide relevant comments and
suggestions on the practical application of the solution of composite steel and
concrete structures for design of multi-storey buildings in Vietnam.
The Dynamic Calculation of Elasto – Plastic Plannar
Frames Considered Effect of Axial Load for Plastic Limit
State of Cross – Sections
(pp. 27-32)
MEng. Nguyen Van Tu, Prof. Dr. Sc. Nguyen
Van Hoi
The paper presents methods and results on the
computation of bilinear elasto – plastic plannar frames subjected to dynamic
loads with consideration of effect of axial load for plastic limit state of cross
– sections. The structures were computed by finite element method. Non-linear
motional equation of structures was solved by Newmark method combined with
modified Newton
– Raphson method. Based on the results obtained by numerical study with frame
structures, the report provides remarks in values of dynamic displacement and
internal force when considered effect of axial load for plastic limit state of
cross – sections.
Results from the National Program of Energy saving
and efficiency for buildings in Viet Nam (pp. 33-39)
Dr. Vu Van Dai, Eng. Phung
The Hieu
This paper presents briefly some outcomes of the
National program of Energy saving and efficiency over the last 10 years in the
construction sector supported by the Government. Besides, advantages are
evaluated and disadvantages are indentified.
The characteristics of acid water enviroment caused
corroding reinforced concrete of hydraulic structures in the Mekong
delta (pp. 40-44)
MEng. Khuong Van Huan, A/Prof.
Dr. Le Minh
The Mekong Delta with area is about 390.000
square kilometer. Sixty percent (60%) of this area affected by acidity and
salimity intrusion. Most of hydraulic reinforced concrete structures are
corroded in acid environment. Base on studying results, the main reasons for
corroding of hydraulic reiforced concrete structures are the high concentration
of sulphate ion and low pH value in the water environment. This area
affected by water environment with low pH causes corrody reiforced concrete
structures approximated 60% area of the Mekong Delta, in which 10% of
this area causes high corrding.
Influences of W/C ratio on some properties of
self-compacting concrete (pp. 45-50)
Dr. Nguyen Quang Phu
Self-compacting concrete (SCC) has specific
performance advantages over conventional concrete in the progress of work of
reinforced concrete constructions, especially constructions with high amount of
steel rod. SCC mixtures are always produced with water/cement (W/C) ratios in
the different range, it depends on the self-compactibility. Adjustment of the
water/cement ratio and superplasticizer dosage is one of the main key
properties in proportioning of SCC mixtures. In this paper, five mixtures with
different combinations of water/cement ratio and superplasticizer dosage levels
were studied. Several tests such as slump flow, V-funnel, L-box were carried
out to determine optimum parameters for the self-compactibility of mixtures.
Compressive strength development, modulus of elasticity and splitting tensile
strength of mixtures were also measured and predicted.
Using total station and edm in topographical survey
of linear – works (pp. 51-54)
Dr. Vu Thang
This paper presents the specific characteristics and topographical survey
demand of line- works. It also presents the advantages of using modern
equipments and technologies in topographical survey of linear-works.
Using the Golden software Suffer32 for
interpretation the settlement monitoring results by the contour – line and 3D
surface (pp. 55-60)
Eng. Ngo Xuan The
According to Vietnamese Standard TCXDVN 271:2002, settlement monitoring is
one of obligatory task of the Owner. The process of this work includes
different steps, among them compiling the technical report and summarizing the
monitoring result is very important one. This article presents possibility of
using the Golden software Suffer32 for interpretation the settlement monitoring
result by the contour – line and 3D surface. Usage of this software is quite
simple, but it reduces the time for compiling the report and enhances considerably
the quality of technical report on settlement monitoring.
